In today’s age the internet is the most exemplary medium to reach people and let them know about your thoughts and opinions. Hence, Sylvia Fountaine, a chef turned blogger, created her blog to teach people how to cook fresh, healthy, restuarant quality meals at home. Her passion has always been food and cooking, but the medium has shifted through the years. At the start of her career, she owned a restaurant for ten years; next, she started a successful catering business for ten years. Hence food and cooking always encompassed her profession.
After these successful ventures of owning a restaurant and catering business, Sylvia was now expert enough about cooking to start her blog. Hence this led to the creation of her website Feastingathome.com. Sylvia has worked in the culinary industry for over 25 years (establishing Mizuna Restaurant, then founding Feast Catering Co.). She has picked up a few tips to make cooking more accessible and fun.
Cooking, according to Sylvia, does not have to be difficult, unpleasant, or time-consuming. Healthy meals may be simple and inviting without sacrificing taste or appearance. Sylvia’s mission is to make people feel confident in the kitchen so that cooking may become the most enjoyable, calming, and creative part of their day. Instead of being a chore, it can be a pleasure.
Sylvia’s blog is a mixture of seasonal healthy recipes, plant-based recipes and quick and easy recipes. She has made sure that her readers have an extremely delightful time at her blog by incorporating highly engaging and pleasing content. In addition to focusing on healthy recipes and lifestyles, she also includes some decadent and luxurious recipes.
She adds that on days like Sundays, some of us prefer spending time in the kitchen while something slowly roasts in the oven for hours – and you’ll find those recipes here as well since they’re soul-nourishing. If we let it, cooking may bring us back to ourselves by centering and grounding us, something we require today.
Shifting her focus to blogging full time, she is able to share her passion for teaching others how to create healthy feasts at Home.
According to Sylvia, cooking can become a soothing technique to calm our mind, become present, and reconnect with our inner peace. Inevitably those around us can sense our peaceful energy, and it can be calming and healing to the whole household.
