Many people are gifted with more than two abilities and can carve their way into both of them and create a legacy of their own. One such example is the expert mortgage advisor and top-notch real estate consultant, Arjun Dhingra based in San Francisco, and has been in the business for two decades. He calls himself a preacher of financial literacy and helps people make wiser decisions around mortgage debts.

“There is a big difference in our industry between loan officers and actual advisors. Advisors offer more broad-based, strategic approaches to taking on a mortgage. Tax, wealth, and budget are all aspects of this approach so I often consider it to be ‘consulting-like’.

Growing up

Arjun Dhingra is an Indian American who grew up in Reno, NV. Being the eldest kid in the family, he remembers a sweet and happy childhood. He and his siblings were very close and active in all sorts of sports and travel. As a teenager, Arjun served on various boards of philanthropies and local causes while in High School and college. From a young age, he loved to explore his talents by working on different jobs. This helped him evolve into the ambitious person he is today.

TaeKwon-Do Career

He recalls being bullied while in elementary and ending up learning martial arts, TaeKwon-Do. At the age of 11, he got a black belt. At the age of 17, he began teaching it at his school. This became his first-ever business which he ran with a partner. At the age of 24, he became the youngest 5th degree in America. He is also a two-time world champion while competing on Team USA in 2007 and 2014. His TaeKwon career is made up of 34 years of expertise and goes way along with him. Arjun currently serves as Team USA-co head coach.

Entering Mortgage Industry

Arjun saw himself enter into the industry while still in his senior year of college. It started as he was helping a mortgage group collect paperwork from clients’ homes. A little understanding of the process compelled him to jump into it and open an office with his brother and another partner. The business began as a call center and later turned into a high-producing lending operation that spans across the entire West Coast. His mortgage banking business helps people obtain financing from residential real estate.

“Goal has been and remains to help people make smarter and more financially responsible decisions around mortgage debt”

Arjun successfully runs his mortgage business and teaches USA team TaeKwonDo skills, while also using his Instagram to spread awareness of financial literacy and so much more.
