Mikaela Janalyn is a fashion, travel, and lifestyle blogger we all need to watch out for. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and attended an all-girls catholic high school in Inglewood, CA. Once she graduated, she then moved to Washington DC to study biology at Howard University. In 2019, however, she dropped out of Howard my sophomore year to pursue modeling, influencing, and being a YouTube creator.

While Mikaela Janalyn is primarily considered a style blogger, she’s been on the road and has been catching flights a lot lately. When she travels, her vacations are fashionably documented. Her travels have most recently landed her in 7 different countries (where she devised insanely cool pictures highlighting her stay at the prettiest resorts), along with Puerto Rico and Mexico. Whether you want to follow her travels or just her day-to-day, you’re definitely in for a stylish treat.

With a fancy purse in one hand and her passport in the other, Mikaela Janalyn always travels in style. Her blog focuses more on her personal style, with her travels weaved throughout. Head on over to her Instagram account, and you’ll be blown away by beautiful backdrops, especially thanks to her most recent visit to 5 days in an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana 🇩🇴, where you can see her chilling at different restaurants, pool dipping, getting ready for a night out.

Mikaela Janalyn does not travel in groups or with people. She does it alone and makes it look fun and cool. Not just that, she has a goal behind traveling solo, promoting solo travel for African American women. She has a complete 20-page solo travel guide on her website.

By the end of the travel guide, you’ll be ready to travel alone like the boss you are! You’ll be sufficiently prepared to satisfy your travel bug without having to wait on anyone else to join you!

From the top destinations for solo travel: Tulum, Negril, London, and more, how to plan a solo trip, to how to travel smart, finding the best deals on flights and hotels, making a travel checklist, packing essentials, transportation, to networking, how to meet new people in a foreign place, finding picture worth locations: Restaurants + Sights. And most importantly, solo travels do’s and don’ts and female safety tips, Mikaela Janalyn has got it all covered for you.
