Adrian Sanchez, a young high schooler, dedicated entrepreneur, and community service leader, represented Florida in one such prestigious international youth summit in Bulgaria.
His selection was made possible through his active involvement with B’nai B’rith of South Florida, an organization renowned for its commitment to social justice and community engagement. Adrian, as one of only two teenagers chosen to represent their home state and a select group of 20 renowned global personalities, each hailing from different backgrounds and possessing unique experiences, embarked on a transformative journey to Bulgaria.
A Royal Connection: Meeting Global Leaders
The collective mission of the B’nai B’rith’s delegation was to engage in dialogues with influential global leaders and diplomats. These esteemed figures included the Ambassadors of Spain and Israel to Bulgaria.
During this visit, Adrian also received the honor of meeting His Majesty King Simeon II of Bulgaria. King Simeon, who had previously ruled Bulgaria before the country became a republic, offered insights into the historical and political landscape of the nation.
This extraordinary encounter provided the youth leaders with a unique perspective on the role of monarchy in an evolving world and the rich tapestry of Bulgaria’s history.

Upon their return to Florida, Adrian and his fellow ambassador, Joshua, took the initiative to establish a Human Rights advocacy program. Their vision garnered significant support from communities and businesses across Broward, Miami, and West Palm Beach.
This inspiring initiative, influenced by their international experiences, attracted many teenagers who volunteered to help American youth meet their high school graduation requirements. It showed how sharing knowledge and global experiences can make a real difference locally.
