Jay Modi, a serial entrepreneur and Fintech professional, has revolutionized the conventional method of helping online consumers by perfecting the search and decision-making approach. The business he founded, Approval Nation Inc, focuses on customer acquisition across multiple verticals and countries. All of this has been possible because of his out-of-the-box approach and shrewdness.

Jay’s fantastic work trajectory showcases his diverse experience in several industries like food manufacturing, asset management, movie production, and real estate.

Currently, he is focused on the FinTech and Technology Industries. He was born in London, United Kingdom but later relocated to Canada in 1997. He attended Western Canada High School in Calgary, Canada, and subsequently went to the University of Calgary.

In high school, Jay started his first business, a household goods trading company, and created an Organic Pasta Company while attending the University of Calgary. Jay then launched a real estate “fix and flip”. company” He decided to focus on that business and not complete his degree.

That determination radiated a path onwards and led to where Jay stands now. But these are his professional accomplishments. Up and close, Jay has an enigmatic personality that attracts an equal amount of success and admirers.

A firm believer in ‘keep moving, keep learning, and keep growing,’ Jay’s typical day looks super productive and reflects the mantra of persistence. Detailing his routine, here is how he gave his daily recount,

‘I am up by 4:30 am or 5:00 am on weekdays. I’ll hit the treadmill, fit in a workout and drink greens and lemon water to get my system going. I am an active person, so I try to fit in an evening workout in addition to a morning one when possible. By 6:30 am, I’m at my desk preparing for the day. We make sure that we’re organized for the day before the employees show up.’

Being a fintech enthusiast and having an entrepreneurial spirit, Jay has strong opinions about the traditional banking system, which he believes will never change. Explaining how it will cater to a particular profile of a person, Jay highlights how financial technology has advanced while ‘traditional banks have their cookie-cutter methods.’

One trend that excites him is FinTech, but he also has a burning curiosity for solar and clean energy technology. Jay believes that there is a huge growth curve ahead for both sectors. Especially today, both industries continue to thrive and are related to his area of expertise. Attracted like a magnet towards something exciting, he can see the tremendous potential for both sectors in the coming years.

In retrospect, Jay Modi understands that making the first move on a new idea or dream can be daunting, but he believes being a daredevil and determined contender makes the journey easier.
