There is scarcely room for kindness in the world we know today, inextricably wrapped up in chaos and hatred. With wars and political disturbances taking up space everywhere, only a handful of people promote genuine kindness over brutality – meet social media influencer and the founder of One Bracelet At a Time, Rachel Cohen.
Having endured bullying during her childhood and witnessing her daughter go through the same ordeal, Rachel found the strength to take action. Determined to make a difference, she made the bold choice to establish her kindness initiative,“One Bracelet At a Time.” Fueled by her personal experiences, she embarked on a mission to combat bullying and offer support to those affected by it. She aspires to create a safer and more compassionate environment for all through her company.
Being kind has always been at the forefront for Rachel, especially for her three daughters. This led her to choose home-schooling as an option. In the process, she realized that the world needed someone to remind: kindness still matters.
The kindness initiative led by Rachel is intended for anyone who is against bullying and wants to eliminate it from our school systems. With One Bracelet At a Time, Rachel wants to spread kindness through colorful silicone bracelets engraved with kind words. Being kind is important to her because it uplifts others, enhances our own well-being, and contributes to a more inclusive society. She hopes to spread more positivity, foster meaningful connections, and create a ripple effect of kindness.
Another way Rachel is spreading kindness is through body positivity. She posts her workout videos and different recipes she recommends for weight loss and healthy eating. She assertively says to her audience, “Work out because you love your body, not because you hate it.” There are countless videos of her healthy and happy lifestyle on her Instagram and TikTok. On her Instagram reels, she shares motivational videos for her followers daily, with messages like ‘You are in control of your happiness.’
Reaching the self-actualization stage through being kind to others and oneself is the greatest achievement of Rachel’s life. She hopes to build her business on kindness and become a successful entrepreneur. This way, she can be an example for people to see that she has come forward by being kind and generous to others in the cutthroat business industry.
